I need help runnig down a photo you may have had posted on your page. It was two operators dressed in olive drabe flights suits armed with MP5's and they where wearing balaclavas. They were advancing down a hallway of either a school or ship. If you could tell me where to look for it I would appreciate it. I love your sight and I am almost sure the picture was posted on the site back in 1998.

A guiding light, your site. I was not a special forces member. Royal Dutch marines, though.

Met up in Lithuania with a couple of "boys". People i can build on, people that are thrustworthy. Friends. As they only get once in a lifetime.

Thanks anyway, for the site, for your time and knowledge.

Richard. p.s. Had with my mate from the sbs a huge row with some twat from the "US customs spec-ops division". He was on a "secret mission" in a bar, in Vilnius, at Saturday 0330..... he even showed us his visitcard. You can imagine how "secret" he was. Funny though. Sorted them out, next day embassy people wanted to have a chat with us. wannabee's. There are everywhere.

Have been interested in Anti-Terrorism since participating in the Gulf War. I was a Marine with 3/9, and was able to work as a scout to locate new movement locations.

During this time, I also assisted as NCOIC for the POW Handling Team for the unit. This is when I felt that I was more concerned with how these terrorists work and have still been intrigued with Counter Terrorism. Thanks for a well built web site. It has opened up more doors for me and what I want to do in life to fight terrorism in our country.

To whom it may concern;

My name is Dan Scelfo and I am 15 years old living in Pittsburgh PA. When i was about 6 years old, i first saw the movie"NAVY SEALS" with Charlie Sheen and now i'm dedicated to growing up and joing the special forces. At this moment i plan on joining the SEALs team in the Navy. I would like to become more familiar with the special forces in the army, marines, and airforce. Also I own about 7 movies, and 3 books concering all the special units and in one of the books it has the photo shown above. Everday i study at school, train hard, weight lift, and attempt to lead at one thing to better prepare myself for joining SEALs. I would GREATLY appreciate any information you could send on the Marine Force Recons, Army Green Bertes and Rangers. I am seriously interested and will continue to work hard at everything, so someday i can become one of the most infamous but most respected group of SEALs. My address is given below to send me any information at all that is available. I thank you for your time in reading this, and this is an excellent so so keep it running. Don't forget.."they might not win the all star game, or be voted MVP, then again some heroes don't play games"...famous quote by a Navy Seal.

My Address: Dan Scelfo 18 Marquette Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15229

Sincerely, Dan

Great Web Site! Thanks so much. I served with SOG at FOB-2, Kontum, RVN in 1967-68 as the gunship platoon leader (Croc Six) flying in support of Daniel Boone and Prairie Fire missions into Cambodia and Laos. Five months of my 12 month tour were devoted to these missions. I had more flight time out of country than in, and was wounded on a LRRP support mission in Laos on 30 December 1967, my brother's birthday! I still value the experience and the friendships made there as much as anything in my life. Though not a Green Beret, I was an infantry officer, aviator, paratrooper and understood the mission and its principals very well. I am a life member of the SFA (A-877) and a member of the SOA. Some of the people who impressed me most were SFC Fred Zabitowski, later SGM, now deceased, Mad Dog Schriver, MIA (?), SFC Dallas Longstreath of Henryetta, Oklahoma, MSG Flores, SGT Phil (P. J.) McIntyre of El Paso, Texas (who later worked for me in Korea, now deceased), and all of those guys who crossed the fence with their loyal Montagnard troops and hung it all out for God and Country. I salute you all. On a final note, I was flying gunship cover (along with others) when a friend of mine, Captain John (Jack) Koshinsky, Gladiator 3, later LTC, pulled Fred Zabitowski from the LZ where his chopper was shot down, and where Fred earned the Medal of Honor. It never got any better, or any worse, than that day. I shall never forget, nor shall I ever stop being grateful for the guys on the ground and in the air who kept the missions moving in the right direction, and who literally kept me alive. Thanks. De Oppresso Liber, and God bless America. Don L. Martin, Crocodile Six, 67-68, U. S. Army (retired), Seminole, Oklahoma / CrocSix@AOL.com

Congress better wake up and provide a larger budget for Special Operations. With increases of threats to U.S. interests abroad, Special Operators will be required to play a larger role. Policymakers must also commit as well, by providing more than just adequate funding. Policymakers must also provide leadership, commitment, and provide policies that don't hamper Special Operation Forces the ability to do more than just get the job done. For example, within the SOF community, the soldier sould be provided the oppourtunity more choices of training schools to attend, and not be held to just those schools pertaining to a particular MOS.

This is a very informative sight, and provides a great amount of usefull information. I had a lot of questions concerning the domesitc side of SPECOPS units, and this help me to locate most of them. I still have one question, is the special operation units indoctrination for the Feds conducted in the same manner as the military's? I served four years in the Corps on a SRT, and I graduate from college this year and I am seeking employment wtih a federal SPECOP unit. If anyone has information on this subject please contact me, thank you.

I've always been a fan of the Special Forces. I have a great respect for them, and hope one day to join their team. I want to be trainned to be a Navy SEAL, because they have the hardest trainning in the world I hear. I want to prove to everyone that I can become somebody, and not be in a jail cell like half my family predicted.

I was a helicopter pilot with the 334th Attack Heli. Co. and worked with SIGMA all over III Corps from Aug 66 thru Aug 67. My call sign was Gangbuster 49, and we trained with the B56 SF.

I am looking for any SF LRRPs who might have been there during that time.

Tom, I'm looking for well written materials on CQB tactics for instructional purposes. As a former Sergeant E-5 Squad Leader (operation urgent fury)Alpha Company 1st Batallion Airborne 505th Infantry 82nd airborne paratrooper (1982 -1986) I can appreciate the writings of the military. They are much more clearly written and doctrinally sound than police manuals. As a police trainer, I specialize in training police officers in CQC (the civilian application and politically correct application of CQB hehehehe). I am currently a police officer with the Pittsburgh Police Department (Pennsylvania) with 12 years experience. A lot of police training is full of hype, doctrinally unsound, and to put bluntly dangerous. I have tried numerous methods both conventional and unconventional to acquire good CQB manuals. So far I have been unsuccessful but have not failed Hehehehehe. Any help you could provide with your unconventional experience hehehehe would be greatly appreciated.

Only two things fall from the sky - birdshit and fools. The last I checked I did not have feathers or a beak, I guess that makes me the latter.

Bob Swartzwelder.

Probably one of the finest SPECOPS sites on the web, but the story on operation Tango, Bosnia 18 dec 1997, is a story that appeared in the local "Vitez" newspaper that summer of 1997 and has nothing to do with what actually went down in the winter of 1997.
