Sir, Although your disclaimer describes the intent of your page, it does not do justice to the units being placed under a unit patch they are not attached to, or under the command of. Basicly I am referring to the 82nd and 10th. They belong to XVIII Airborne Corps and in no way are special operations forces. Your claim is to them as it is to the Special Operators that they are something they are not and do not want to be. Conventional forces can never be special operations, by virture most conventional forces are first term soldiers and SOF are all second term soldiers, at least is Special Forces. Ranger and Seals are youngsters also. SF is the only real Special Operators in this whole business.

I'm totally surprised to have received this site in my email but was exceptionally surprised to see my old unit PPH 69 featured! Ahhh.... The Jungle is Neutral and Too big to be left Unexplored! Just a reminder that I'm one of them who's left this warlike legacy and now into protection/conservation of the jungles/wildlife via organised trips to wildlife sanctuaries and jungle survival/trekking courses in my own jungles in Malaysia. Sometimes... this site scares me, too... might give the wrong idea and dream to the wrong people that SOF people are all gung ho and brainless. I believe most of us are not. Not to be rude or anything but your stats are a little off. 22,000,000? You get more then DefenseLink! I can't see that. 50,000 a day? More like 50,000 a month of course that works out to about 25,000 real hits by people visiting your page if you are using webside stories stats.

A note on hits: Special Operations.Com gets more that 5,000 unique visitors per day. Each person visits approximately 10 pages, hence over 50,000 "hits" per day. HI I know this is probably a along shot. I was engaged to a man named patrick david daughtry. He usually went by david. When I was with him back in 92-94 he was stationed in Fort Cambpell Ky in the 1/160th special operations. He was a medic.His parents live in Alabama, not sure if they still do. This is absolutely the BEST site on Special Forces and Operations I've seen. Thanks for creating and maintaining such an excellent site.
